Yulista Aviation Achieves Prestigious Industry Certification
Huntsville, AL, August 13, 2007 - On August 10, 2007, Yulista Aviation in Huntsville, AL, joined an elite group of companies certified to meet the highest industry business and aerospace standards. Yulista’s Huntsville crew achieved ISO 9001/AS9100 & AS9110 certification in record time – 87 days – with a 100% score.
ISO/AS Certification assures Yulista Aviation customers the highest possible quality with built-in procedures to ensure accountability and continuous proactive improvement to both processes and products. AS9110 adds specific aerospace maintenance standards to meet the unique challenges of an aviation environment – including flight safety, supply, configuration management, and enhanced quality requirements.
"This has been the most aggressive ISO/AS certification project I have ever been involved with," said Andrew Claverie of Aero Solutions International, Inc., who worked with the Yulista Aviation Team to prepare for the final aerospace audit. "It represents an important move forward for Yulista Aviation in the aerospace industry – becoming one of three companies certified to both AS9100 and AS9110 in the USA."
According to Yulista General Manager Darrell Harrison, "When we set the bar at full certification in 90 days, I knew it would be a challenge. I thought of it as a motivational target and figured it would take longer. But the 100% dedication and commitment of the Yulista Aviation Team to the ISO process coupled with the ‘Quality First’ attitude we bring to all of our work streamlined the process and helped us meet ISO/AS requirements in record time. Yulista Aviation is a commercial extension of the Huntsville Division’s award-winning military aviation support for the Prototype Integration Facility at Redstone Arsenal. This certification, Yulista Aviation’s FAA Part 145 Repair Station Certification, and the scheduled opening of a second hangar to support commercial aviation work at the Madison County Executive Airport in Meridianville, AL, uniquely positions Yulista Aviation to provide quality maintenance support in both civilian and military arenas.
